MUSIC IMAGERY
Individual & Group
In Music Imagery, we can offer you 4 different methods. They can be done separately and sometimes integrated, depending on the client’s needs.
GUIDED IMAGERY & MUSIC
GIM is a music-centred form of psychotherapy which aims to explore client’s inner life through music and imagery when going through a difficult time or to understand emotional life more deeply. GIM can be beneficial for anyone who wishes to explore their inner life through music and imagery. It uses selected sequences of classical music to support the generation of and movement through inner experiences.
SUPPORTIVE MUSIC & IMAGERY
SMI is a short-term form of music psychotherapy, which aims to strengthen the client’s positive resources by deepening their inner quality, using music and imagery. SMI can be beneficial to find and develop supportive resources which will then promote self care.
RE-EDUCATIVE MUSIC & IMAGERY
RMI is a short-term form of music psychotherapy, and the session structure is the same as SMI, but this time, the focus is on conflicts or problems from the client’s here-and-now life.
MUSIC BREATHING
Music Breathing is an adaptation of GIM developed for stress related disorders, to help a persistent dysregulation of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS).
